Premier Beehive Product Recall Update

10 Dec 2015

Premier Beehive NZ wishes to provide an update on a voluntary product recall undertaken on a single batch of Beehive Shaved Champagne Ham yesterday.

Beehive has now received follow-up test results on the product confirming that traces of bacteria are negligible.

The voluntary recall was undertaken as a precaution when routine testing revealed irregular test results for the bacteria, listeria, in a batch of the 200g Family Pack with a Use by Date of 26 January 2016 (Batch 335322). The recall does not affect any other Beehive products.

Beehive immediately retrieved 99% of the affected product. There have been no reports of illness.

The safety and quality of Beehive products are a priority for the company. Beehive followed its product recall procedures consistent with maintaining the highest possible standards of safety and product quality and has been working closely with New Zealand’s food safety authorities.

Beehive has published an update for consumers on its website.

Beehive apologises for any inconvenience caused by this recall. Any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice or they can call Beehive on 0800 506 701.
